Name: Henry C. Tyson

Hometown: Fayetteville, NC

Education:

  • Campbell University ’06- BA Government

Profession: REALTOR, Commercial Real Estate Broker/ Co-Owner Tyson Commercial

Interests/Hobbies: My interests extend to: community related issues, volunteering on boards and commissions (such as the Government Affairs Committee with the Chamber), helping with community non-profits (Kiwanis, Habitat, etc..), and working with others to make a difference in our city.

Outdoor Hobbies I enjoy include boating, SCUBA diving, fishing, target shooting, and water sports in general. Indoor hobbies can be just as fun and enjoyable too! Particularly playing musical instruments (I play saxophone & drums), a good game of chess, racquetball, basketball, etc…

Fun Facts About Myself: Since I was 13 years old I have freelanced (or a hobby as some would say) with a sound, lighting, and video production company from Fayetteville, NC. We traveled all over the U.S. providing technical concert support for national acts, but also plenty of local ones. It was fun to meet many different talented individuals and organizations and develop relationships with some household names in the music industry. The job is hard and challenging work both mentally and physically, but the reward is seeing the production and all the pieces fit together. One thing is for sure, I will never look at another concert the same again!

Why I Joined FYP: As young professional member of the Fayetteville community, I wanted an opportunity to engage with other individuals who work hard to be successful! FYP allows us to come from all over the community from many different professions and gather to engage one another in friendship and fun. We share in each other’s triumph, adversity, and experience, which allows us to grow together as professionals. Getting involved doing community outreach, socials, meeting with elected officials, discussing issues relevant to us, and learning through our lunch and learn events are invaluable resources to one
