Interests & Hobbies: I take pride in devoting a good portion of my down time to being a mentor with Fayetteville Urban Ministry’s Find-A-Friend program. For the past 2 years my awesome mentee, Asia, and I have embarked on many fun adventures both in and out of Cumberland County developing a friendship that I’m sure will last a lifetime! Outside of being a mentor, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, being crafty (Pinterest ROCKS!!!), traveling, walks at the park with my dogs Buddy and Sammie, and hockey games, but give me a kayak and a lake, and I’m the happiest of all!
Why I joined FYP: I joined FYP to get more involved in the Fayetteville community and expand my social network of like-minded individuals. It’s been great to meet successful people from all career fields that I wouldn’t otherwise come into contact with. This group is filled with some of the nicest people, I definitely encourage others to join!
Fayetteville’s core is rooted in Fort Bragg which brings people from all walks of life and from every corner of the U.S and the world. I love this because it gives our community a unique edge with different backgrounds and perspectives while bringing invaluable knowledge to help us to continue to move forward and thrive. In addition to the diversity Fort Bragg brings to our community, I like that there’s always something to do around town. Whether it be a Fourth Friday event, a festival, a show at the Cape Fear Theater, live music, a stroll in historic Downtown, or my personal favorite, a hockey game, Fayetteville has something for everyone.
